What got you into cosplay?
Though I've always loved dressing up, I think it was my love for the characters in some of these anime and games that drove me to it.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was, appropriately, Nuriko from Fushigi Yuugi. Kind of complicated for a beginning costume, as I used a costume of his that I've never seen anyone else attempt. But he was my first character obsession from the first anime I'd ever seen - and remains one of the strongest to date.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Favorite costume. Hmm. Well, seeing as how I only have 2 completed, I would have to say... Yuna. Songstress Yuna from FFX-2. Once I got over the revealing nature of the costume, I really started to love it - it's so comfortable (the fabric is REALLY soft) and it doesn't get near as warm as my Nuriko costume (outfits made of silk, heavy satin, and velvet really don't stand up to North Carolina summers). The costume is as exact as I could make it - from the hair-tail to the length of the "skirt" attached to the side of the shirt - and details are uber important to me. I absolutely adore Yuna - the only drawback of this costume is that I was disgusted by X-2. I hated what they did to Yuna, I was disappointed by the fall in animation quality in the CGs (you think I'm joking? Yuna's friggin scary in some of those headshots in X-2. Just look at that grin in the normal ending *shudders*). Lenne and Shuyin, the 'good' ending, and this costume were the game's only saving graces. Alas, I digress (not uncommon). Moving on!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
One thing at a time, I say. I'm currently working on a particularly challenging project, that being Reika Kuze of Fatal Frame III. Dead, body covered in tattoos... oh, and no shirt. Did I forget to mention the lack of a shirt? Yeah. This.... should be interesting.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My first year in general - AZ03 was the best of them all, hands down. But in AZ04, Chika Sakamoto gave me an award for my Nuriko costume... @___@
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not generally, no. I helped out with a skit at AZ05, have a few ideas in mind, and won an award in the Hall Cosplay in 2004... but that's it so far.
What was your best masquerade experience?

Tell us a little about yourself
Senior at UNC (Chapel Hill type). Yeah, I'm a Tarheel. I'm studying psychology, preparing for graduate school and - hopefully - a career working with the severely disturbed. Also, FBI. (It's 5am, not sure why I'm on cosplay.com...)
I'm a waitress at Kanki, a restaurant near my apartment. It's got the best sushi I've ever had (though I've not been to Japan yet). I love my job so very much.
Hobbies. I'll get to that later. Too lazy right now.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I'm prone to bouts of moodiness, though I'm generally a nice, quiet person.... who has an extreme dislike of conceited people, racism, and clingy-ness. I also tend to be one of those "Dont call us, we'll call you" kind of people ^^;
