What got you into cosplay?
I'd always found it fascinating, but got into it myself after becoming enamored with anime and picking up sewing as a hobby.
What was your first costume and why?
Kagome from Inuyasha. I just adore her, and she's quite akin to me in several ways, so it seemed a natural choice.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Kagome, lol. It's comfortable and cute, not too revealing or cumbersome so that I can really enjoy the con instead of worrying about my cosplay.
I also did Asami from Legend of Korra for Katsucon '14, which looked great. Just so happened to run into the entire Gaang 2.0, which was amazingly fun and we took an entire shoot together.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I do, actually. As an avid WoW player, my main has this beautiful gold and fuchsia dress I'd like to tackle one day.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I love it when I hear other con-goers say things along the lines of, "Oh, it's Kagome! Kagome! Can I take your picture, please?" <3 it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
As of yet, no, but I'd like to someday.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Tell us a little about yourself
