What got you into cosplay?
<p>I've always loved being in costumes. In January of 2002 I discovered the website for Anime North and decided I REALLY wanted to go. I heard that people dressed up, so of course I was all for it!
What was your first costume and why?
[p]My first cosplay was Rinoa Heartilly. Why? I love Final Fantasy 8 and her design and thought it would be simple for a first cosplay (Even though it was all tailored and store bought stuff).
My first 'true' costume (all self made) was Yuna's wedding dress from FFX. Horribly made but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
What is your favorite costume and why?
Trisha (Full Metal Alchemist) is currently my favourite. It's comfortable and recognizable. ^_^ Except for the wig...
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have a few, though I fear if I put them in a list I'll procrastinate on ever doing them.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My most memorable experiences have been when people have come up to me at a con and said that they admire my costumes. Those moments are the best.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, I do.
What was your best masquerade experience?
My and Ochika's skit from Anime North 2006. We didn't win anything, but it was so much fun!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won an Honourable Mention in the Journeyman class at Anime North 2005 (I cosplayed as Jillia Blight). Though it technically doesn't count for anything...
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm the Masquerade Director/Con Chair for Northern Anime Festival. My paid work is at a hockey arena as a concession stand slave.
I live with my Grandfather (I call him Papa), and my mom, aunt and cousin live with us.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Other than cosplay I love to draw, write, paint and do just about anything creative.
Oh, and I have a DOC Bee-a named Juliana. She is made of cute and win.

Laguna for Final Fantasy VIII is my favourite of all time. He is made of win and awesome. I can relate to his personality, as I consider myself similar in many ways.
