What got you into cosplay?
When I was in high school I saw various people's cosplay pictures on their personal sites, and though "hey, wouldn't that be awesome if only I could sew". Then when I got to college, lo! I met people who could indeed do that, and I was totally up for making costumes and dressing up year round instead of just Halloween.
What was your first costume and why?
Uchiha Sasuke from Naruto. Mostly because I had "Sasuke hair" when I first cut my hair short and it fell into the same time my friends were talking about cosplaying for Naruto, so I became the Sasuke. Didn't argue, because I still love the character even if he's evil--er, misguided and angsty.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Now Riku is my favorite. Because I love his character SO much, also the costume is really comfortable and I can move around way easier than anything else I've got (even though the outer vest is made of vinyl). Also I just love running around as Riku with my awesome Sora (Rosebud)!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'm working up to them, in terms of skill. But most of my dream costumes I end up making anyway. At some point in the future is an FMA military costume, because they are hard-looking to do but totally sexy.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
In general, my first time cosplaying, which was at AX 05. I was just feeling a little unsure about the whole thing, but then when our little Naruto group got to the con area, and we were getting stopped every five or ten feet for pictures, it just blew my mind. Ego boost galore.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Naw....
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm 20, in college, and fairly average. Other hobbies other than cosplaying are pretty much writing, drawing, and reading - not that I'm great at the first two. But I try.
My favorite anime
In no particular order: Naruto, Bleach, Yami no Matsui, Death Note, Ouran High School Host Club, Jyu Oh Sei, Millenium Actress, Gankutsuo, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Mononoke-hime, Spirited Away, X-1999, Petshop of Horrors, Gravitation, Mirage of Blaze, Excel Saga, and maybe other stuff I can't think of. I actually read more manga than I watch anime....
My favorite game(s)
I've been starting to game a little more, and what I've liked is just what I've played; KHII, Shadow of the Colossus, and now working on God of War. I have a big old list I'm going to work through.
My favorite book(s)
Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Catch-22, The Poisonwood Bible, His Dark Materials, Dune, Snow Crash, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, anything Stephen King especially the Dark Tower series, Chronicles of Narnia, anything Michael Crichton especially Jurassic Park, anything Orson Scott Card, and there are more but I have no access to my bookshelf right now.
My favorite character(s)
Of all time; Franz d'Epinay from Gankutsuou. I was so excited to con myself a whole Gank-group just to cosplay him. XD Other characters (besides the ones I cosplay); Keigo, Yumichika, Shinji from Bleach; Sai, Shikamaru, Gaara, Temari from Naruto; Tamaki, Nekozawa, Renge from Ouran; Chiyoko from Millennium Actress, Wolfwood from Trigun....and there are always more...

Oh man, I shouldn't even make this list. But I will anyway. I don't have many but I suppose for actors I'd go Tim Curry, Robert Downey Jr., Michael C. Hall, Kevin Kline, Johnny Depp, Sam Rockwell, Tom Hanks, and Bruce Willis. Actresses...Nicole Kidman, Christina Ricci, Franka Potente, Helena Bonham Carter.
