What got you into cosplay?
I love sewing, and I used to make Halloween costumes for myself when I was younger. When I got into anime and decided to go to a con, I figured I might as well have some fun and dress up like everyone else.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Nemu Asakura from D.C. ~Da Capo. I was going to go as Kotori Shirakawa from the same series, but I wasn't able to get a pink wig, so I ended up going as the girl I looked most like. I hadn't actually seen D.C. Da Capo, and had only seen pics of it in NEWTYPE USA, but I liked the outfit and the character seemed cute, so I went with it.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'd love to be able to perfect the Buttefly Chii costume I started in 2006....check vol. 5-7 of Chobits and its somewhere in there...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Two words =Man Peach
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yep....well, sorta. I've only been able to get into two masquerades at smaller conventions.
Every year I try to get into the Anime Boston Masquerade, I miss the deadline. -__-;;;
What was your best masquerade experience?
Lisa Ray Furukawa thought my Chii costume was cute. ^_^
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
nope. ;_;
Tell us a little about yourself
I am a Marine & Coastal Policy & Management major at the University of Rhode Island with a pet betta fish, a boyfriend/potential finance, an awesome roommate, a good bunch of friends, and a job at the school's computer shop. Between all that and 16 credits of classes, I am a very busy little person. That leaves me with scant time to cosplay.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
umm....nope. :P
