About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
I've always loved dressing up in a variety of costumes all my life but I never really grew a backbone to go out and wear them in public until I entered college. During my freshmen year I really changed - no longer cared if others saw me as crazy for dressing up in costumes despite it not being Halloween. At first I would dress up and act the part for a variety of projects but what REALLY got me into it was my very first convention (Katsucon 2013). Now I'm addicted... lol
What was your first costume and why?
Used to do A LOT of closet cosplays. For instance my very first closet cosplay was a zombie hunter which was pretty much a costume that consisted of a shirt covered in blood, combat boots, bandanna, fingerless gloves, sunglasses, a black backpack (with survival gear), black hat and face paint. What can I say... I LOVE zombies XD
What is your favorite costume and why?
Currently my latest... the Nightingale cosplay because I have actually made this one ENTIRELY from scratch (from the props to the armor). Plus Skyrim is personally my all time favorite game so I love running around in character. :)
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
All the conventions I go to. Wow... it is an amazing experience seeing everyone's cosplays, going to panels about animes you love, and meeting some of the nicest people I have ever met!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet. I want to some day..
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Won a reward at my local college 1st place best Halloween Costume 2013 - Nightingale... I was pretty proud especially since I put SO MUCH work into it. ^^
