What got you into cosplay?
My friend, JJ. Completely, totally, 100% JJ's fault that I seriously got into cosplay. She'd show up at Japanese classes wearing an Eva school outfit, and I'd think "WOW that's cool." Plus, she showed me that cosplayers are a really cool group of people and cosplaying is a great way to make awesome friends.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was a badly-done Excel (Excel Saga) that one person recognized. There was a sign that went along with it, but in a last-moment decision the convention banned signs, which made the costume unrecognizable.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Sasuke. It's an awesome cosplay, and I've met so many cool people, and it got an awesome response at AB06 Cosplay Chess.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Terror of Death Haseo (.hack//ROOTS, GU etc). I do not have the skill to pull any of it off. But it looks like it'd be so fun.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Anime Boston 2006 Cosplay Chess. I was Sasuke, and since I wanted to kill Itachi, I switched sides... It was just so fun and amazing, even though in the actual match I did next to nothing.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yeah. Not very well, though, lol
What was your best masquerade experience?
I only have one, and I hesitate to call it "best"...
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently studying Computer Science at MIT. I do a variety of things aside from cosplay, ranging from AMVs to making DDR Simfiles.
