hi! tapioka is my default alias, but a lot of people call me kyo. I have over 20 nicknames for entertainment's sake, and I have an overly soft spot for cosplay.

What got you into cosplay?
I was in our school's costuming department for drama. once I got the basics there....well...I applied it to something a little different. :D
What was your first costume and why?
Suigintou, from Rozen Maiden. namely because it had a Victorian-esque sort of feel to it, and spraying my hair white seemed like a wild idea. XD not to mention, the lace was crazy-- the petticoats, too.
What is your favorite costume and why?
my Saber costume from Fate/Stay Night is my first successful armor project, so I'm quite proud of that. surprisingly, though, Chocobo wins the prize because it forced me to work with a lot of new mediums. paper mache clay, gradient dyeing, altering existing garments, etc. etc. etc.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
CLAMP's xxxholic-- one of the more super complex Yuuko outfits. (o_o) I'm not a CLAMP fanatic, but it's hard not to drool at their insane creativity in terms of costumes.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
stepping out of the car in my Suigintou costume, and being mobbed by about 5-6 cameras at the first con I ever cosplayed at. XD whao. no wonders celebrities are always smiling.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I would love to, but I haven't yet.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I have yet to participate in contests.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am a design student in college with a few more years to go. when I'm not screaming in front of a computer about how much I hate typefaces, I'm usually making cosplay. <3
