What got you into cosplay?
I remember when I was around six years old I would put on all my coloured socks and run around the house pretending I was Rainbow Bright. It wasn't even anything like what kids do on halloween, I just did it because it was fun. I think this is when I was hooked, long before I knew what cosplay even was.
What was your first costume and why?
Hotaru Tomoe(SailorSaturn)'s black skirt house outfit. I actually wore this around the house at times before I finally got involved in cosplay as a hobby. My first "official" cosplay was Hotaru's seifuku.
What is your favorite costume and why?
That would have to be without a doubt my Miyu kimono. It's airy, warm when need be and cool enough (I thank good cotton and well knit poly) when need be, and overall comfy and very fun to wear.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I suppose this means plans? In that case (other than more Miyu Kimono variants), Gally - Gunnm (unsure which version), Hotaru/Saturn (other costumes), Envy - FMA, and probably others but I haven't given much thought.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Chatting with "myself" (fellow Miyu cosplayer) at AnimagiC Germany '07. At one point we noticed there were four of us as we were standing in front of a large wall mirror. It was a lot of fun, I only wish someone had taken pictures of our "battle". xD
Do you participate in masquerades?
I haven't as of yet but this is something I would like to do.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
If I ever do I'll make sure to say so. ^~
Tell us a little about yourself
Well, a little detail I would like to point out is that though my username is Sarinilli, normally I go by the name Miyu. Without giving away my real given name, this is the closest thing to a fitting nickname.　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 I work in a stuffy office with websites. All that gooey html and css stuff I did for years as a hobby and though I love it, it's as tedious as ever. My two main hobbies are probably the most costly and time consuming they could be, without being a world adventurer. In short that'd be cosplay and video games. :P
