What got you into cosplay?
I had been to Megacon in Orlando once in 2010 and loved the costumes I saw. I wanted to cosplay after that, but I waited till I learned more about costume fabrication in college to start doing it in earnest.
What was your first costume and why?
Aqua from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. She was one of the first female video game protagonists I really related to on a personal level. Also, I love her combat style and aesthetic, its so beautiful.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Aqua, because I have upgraded her costume the most. I love how I can see my progression as a costumer through my improvements.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Aqua's Keyblade Armor and Papika transformed.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
As a whole experience, Comic Con San Diego 2015. So many wonderful things happened at that convention that I remember it very fondly.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I have not but I would like to.
Tell us a little about yourself
I went to Florida State for my BA in degree in theater and then moved out to Las Vegas to work on the strip. I currently work at Tournament of Kings as a stagehand which has helping me acquire and practice new skills such as welding and stenciling.
Since moving out here, I picked up rock climbing and have been doing that for about 3 years.
