What got you into cosplay?
I have been making costumes for theatre for a handful of years now and had always admired the actors to be able to dress up, to take on that role of a character. But, alas, I was never destined to be an actor - just a techie. So! I put my technical skills to work and fulfilled my own little dream. I still love making costumes for other people, but it's a ball and makes me giddy to 'play dress up' still. ^_^
What was your first costume and why?
The X-Men Rogue's original costume, the green and white one. I had never seen anyone do this one before (everyone always does the green and yellow one), and I just loved the style of it with the hooded jacket and everything. Green and white are two of my favourite colours, so I figured why not?
What is your favorite costume and why?
It has to be my first one. I'm still in love with the way Rogue looks in that outfit and I think it's a shame that the artists settled on that green and yellow thing.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
*mauahahaha!* I hope to, one day, have most of Rogue's outfits in my repertoire.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
The Black Cat photoshoot on the rooftop of the theatre I work at. I ended up unwittingly stopping traffic. *laughs*
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won 3rd place in DragonCon's Dawn Look-A-Like Contest in 2007. It was my first time entering any sort of contest and I can't wait to participate again in '08!
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm happily married to a man who enjoys cosplay and loves to compliment me on my own. ^_^ I also enjoy gaming (tabletop as well as console), collect comics (I own about 4K+), and play Magic, so I'm a pretty healthy geek all around. I have a degree in Theatre and a degree in Culinary Arts. I also love to draw/paint, love animals, and generally dislike kids. The End!

I do enjoy a few animes, namely: Trigun, Urusei Yatsura, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, Full-Metal Alchemist, and Interstella 5555.
My favorite game(s)
Soul Calibur, any Zelda, any comic-related game, Final Fantasy, Guitar Hero, DDR, and totally non-sensical games like WarioWare.
My favorite book(s)
Anne McCaffrey's Pern series, the Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony, Terry Brook's Shannara series, much of anything by Neil Gaiman.
