I am Candace, online I am VampireKitten (or VK). Modeling I am Lunessence and gaming I am VelvetCupcake. I am a girl of many faces and a talented individual. I run on an engine fueled by passion and caffeine. I am a model, a photographer, an Occultist and a full time geek.

Horror, Fantasy, Cosplay, and Video Games are a few of my all time favorite things. I like to fall asleep at night to classic black and white Vincent Price movies. I do allot of horror based photography that includes zombies, monsters, and serial killers. I frequently attend costumed events and masquerade balls, often you may meet me as an elf. I do volunteer/charity work for the 501st legion and am SL-1613. The majority of the costumes in my closet are video game or Star Wars characters.

I write for the" Girls Entertainment Network" www.girlsentertainmentnetwork.com and I write about video game news on my own blog "Digital Cupcake" www.digitalcupcake.net . I also created a horror/pun-up movement known as the "Ghoul Girls" www.ghoulgirls.com.

I work in Radio, Television, and Film. I have been a host for various events, shows and have interviewed lots of people for numerous production companies. I model for some clothing and specialty companies (hair and SFX) and model simply for the sake of art. I have been in various visual media such as music videos, indy films, and show host work.

I also work as a senior game adviser for GameStop. Although it's difficult working there sometimes because I am a girl... in a gaming store... who "knows nothing about games" (rolls eyes).

Complexity is the only way to describe my relationship with my soul mate, Kurt. I mean that in a good and loving way. We take care of one another and at the end of the day all we want to do is be with each other. We live with our cats and rats who we consider our furry children. You may see him from time to time since we do allot of cosplay together.

What got you into cosplay?
I haven't a clue... my inner geekdom burst from my fingers, which in turn create all of the wonderful wearable geekdom you will see me... um... wearing.
What was your first costume and why?
I did a "Darth Maul" uniform replica commission for my fiancee for the Laybrinth of Jareth Masquerade in July 2005. Since then I found I had this odd ability to create costume replicas even though I had never done it before. Shortly after I created a costume for myself which is "BloodRayne" and found myself hooked. PVC and Leather on the first two costumes, tell me that isn't natural talent! (mentioned types of textiles hate me btw -_-; )
What is your favorite costume and why?
My Dunmer Elf, I have such a fantastic time doing makeup and wearing the SFX pieces. I can loose myself and become another character, it's so much fun.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have four right now. Taarna from Heavy Metal, Catwoman, Aeon Flux (cartoon), and a storm trooper fom Star wars.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
At the Southern California spring cosplay picnic 2006. I was hunted and attacked by and octopus, I made lots of new friends, and made a lifesize BloodRayne standup fit inside of a Mustang.

Best group costume - SoCal Spring Cosplay Picnic 07 for our Purple Dark Elves. Firefly Path Choice Award - SoCal Spring Cosplay Picnic 08.
