What got you into cosplay?
I went to Fanime in 2002 and saw the cosplay that was there. I was amazed and very interested in trying to make a costume for myself.
What was your first costume and why?
At the first anime convention I went too, it seemed that Final Fantasy was pretty popular. One of my favorate games of all time was Final Fantasy VIII so I decided to put together a Squall costume.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'd have to say that Squall is my favorate costume. It's the most recognized and it was the first anime costume I wore out in public.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Some of my most memorable experiences have involved my Zack costume. Just the people's reactions when they see the costume. I distinctly remember someoe yelling, "What the hell is that!" in a really loud voice the first time I ever walked out of my hotel at Ani-Magic. :)
Also, at BayCon I was in my Squall costume and this woman walks by me and says under her breath, "Mmmm... Squall." X-D
Do you participate in masquerades?
I haven't yet, but I hope to soon. It looks like a lot of fun.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
My Zack costume has won 2nd place for Best Male Costume at the Metreon Festival of Animation and 2 hall costume awards at BayCon.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently working as a web developer at a fairly large computer company. I'm going to school part time and working towards a degree in Computer Science. I actually quite enjoy my job as it's flexable and allows me to attend class and go to anime conventions across the country. My hobby is cosplay. It has basically consumed all of my free time. :)
