What got you into cosplay?
i went to a con with my friend, met cosplayers, and was instantly in love.
What was your first costume and why?
Strawberry Shortcake. And because she is awesome. Childhood flashback i guess.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Haruko from FLCL because i love the character, love the costume, and she fits my personality. Plus its an excuse to dye my hair pink.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Zelda. i keep saying i will but im such a slacker.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
This little kid dressed as Naota came up to me (Haruko) at ACEN (2005). His mom took a picture of us. i felt special.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet, i haven't gone professional.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
nay.
Tell us a little about yourself
i work at the biggest animal shelter in Chicago. i have four wonderful cats. i love to dye my hair and use any excuse to wear a costume! i also enjoy video games, books, and movies in my free time.

FLCL and Samurai Champloo are two of my favorites, but ill watch just about anything. i like getting recommendations from random people.

His Dark Materials (The Golden Compass Trilogy). Harry Potter. Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Francesca Lia Block, and fantasy in general. i think i read more than i cosplay :(
