What got you into cosplay?
After going to three Ohayocons and really wanting to make something cool like everyone else... bandwagon, I guess?
What was your first costume and why?
Genjyo Sanzo from Saiyuki.
Saiyuki is one of my all-time favorite animes, and Sanzo is my favorite character in it. Saiyuki is one of the few animes that's had an impact on my life, as corny as it sounds, and this is a neat little tribute, in my opinion at least.
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far, it's Sanzo, since it's my only one. But I love working out all the little details, and things with details keep the Virgo in me content.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I change my mind very frequently, so it's best to ask what my dream costume is *Today.*
I guess I'd really like to find a costume I can pull off for my body type and make it look good.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Pretty much all of Ohayo '07 was memorable.
But the thing that stuck with me, oddly enough, was when we were walking around and this group of girls was sitting there. We walk past, and then all of them in unison go "Sanzo! Gohan da yo!" with a Goku voice. ^^;; Then they did it again on Saturday. It makes me smile just thinking of it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I will try to next year.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, but I got a lot of compliments this year.

Junior in college, double majoring with Japanese and International Relations, and vice president in my university's Japanese culture club.

Cosplay has inspired me to lose 50 pounds for Ohayocon 2007. I ended up losing 40. People on this site have spurred me on, and I'm grateful for the support. Victory shall be mine!
