What got you into cosplay?
My friends and I attended CONvergence in 2002 with our Anime Club at school and we thought it would be really cool to dress up like our favorite characters; this brought our major costuming parties today and influenced me to go to school for costume design.
What was your first costume and why?
Meryl Stife from Trigun. My friend Kat9y loves that show and she got the rest of us all into it.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love cosplaying as River Tam. She is my favorite character out of any movie/tv show. Her outfits are simple, comfortable and still recognizable.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Sara's ball gown from the Labyrinth. I intend on making that one for CONvergence 2008.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Winning Best Novice at CONvergence 2007 was pretty kick ass. Good times.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I participate on stage in the CONvergence Masquerades, and I am now a performance judge for the Anime Detour masquerade. It's pretty fun.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Winning Best Novice for Alice in Wonderland at CONvergence 2007.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Won Best Knowledge award (Harry Potter '04), Rising Star Award (Phantom '05), Best Makeup (both Phantom '05 and Alice in Wonderland '06), Best Novice (Alice in Wonderland '06)

I am in my third year of college and I am in school for Costume Design (I was going to go into directing, but I love costuming far too much)
