What got you into cosplay?
I wanted to become the characters that I watched. The idea of making such beautiful costumes just gave me butterflies.
What was your first costume and why?
Princess Serenity from Sailor Moon. It wasn't very good and its falling apart still. But I just loved that dress. I'll make a better version sometime in the future.
What is your favorite costume and why?
After much diliberation I've decided that Jill Valentine is my favourite. Ok Ok I know that its not constructed and most of it is thrifted but I just love it. It was comfortable and fun. The greatest thing about it was the fake wounds. It was my first attempt at FX make up and the reactions I got from people were priceless. I would get calls of "OWW that looks like it hurts!". I don't know why its my favourite it just is. For now anyway XD
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
At the moment I've got myself set on Talim from Soul Calibur IV. But I'm gonna wait until my skills improve before attempting it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not really. If there's a group that wants me to join them I will but normally I like to sit them out. I get REALLY bad nerves!
What was your best masquerade experience?
The Soul Calibur group for Amecon 08, bigges masq I've been in, I was so nervous but it was awesome.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've never entered any of my costumes into a competition! It wouldn't feel right unless I made a really amazing costume. And as of yet I haven't made anything worthy of an award, I don't believe so anyway. I suppose the only achievement I've ever had was my Karin Kanzaki cosplay being showcased here on coscom. It made me the first person in the UK to have their costume showcased ^^

Name: Carrie Age: 21 Current Location: Greater London Height: 5'6". Eye Colour: Blue/Grey Cosplay and cosplay photography take up most of my time. I study Costume Production at a renowned theatre school in London. I am one of the duo who set up Cosplay Snap. Its such an honour to get to work with amazing cosplayers and I love every photoshoot I do.
