What got you into cosplay?
I had been going to Anime, SciFi & Comic Book conventions since 1992, but never paid attention to the costumers. In 2000, a friend was cosplaying at DragonCon & I was floored! I had not seen anything like it! She had me attend my first Otakon & I was completely hooked.
What was your first costume and why?
Nanaka Nakatomi of Mahou Tsukai Tai--> I loved her attitude & her costume. I really enjoyed the construction process of this costume.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Eiko Carol of FFIX--> I have a blast being her. The costume is one of my labors of love.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Violet of Lemony Snickets--> Her costume will involve alot of skill and patience. Makes me positive giddy thinking about it. ^_^
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Dressing up & going out on photoshoots with my friends.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Yes, the bulk of which are Craftsmanship awards. Those mean the most to me. Craftsmanship is my forté.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am a professional graphic designer, working in Atlanta, GA for over 13 years. I keep myself extremely busy learning as many crafts as I can. Lately I have been knitting liek a maniac & would like to incorporate it into my costuming. I live with my partner Melissa, 4 cats (Hide, Trent, Calvin, Suzy) & 3 dogs (Sasha, Emma, Molly). I love going to the movies, drinking coffee, sour apple martinis & watching M*A*S*H
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am open for high-end cosplay commissions. Just email me with reference, your questions and I will give you a quote.
