What got you into cosplay?
I was entering high school when I went to my first convention. The idea of dressing up as a character seemed surreal to me and so much fun. It turned out it was both! It was an amazing way for me to meet people with the same interests when I was younger.
What was your first costume and why?
Faye Valentine. Cowboy Bebop was one of the first mature-themed anime I'd ever watched. I loved how classy yet sly she was and I'd always wanted to be her... thus resulting in the future of cosplay for me!
What is your favorite costume and why?
I enjoyed my Riza Hawkeye costume (Full Metal Alchemist.) That was one of the hardest costumes to make, the most enjoyable to wear, and gave me a rewarding experience during my last year of cosplaying.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Mmm..maybe in the future I'll do something with a large prop? I've alway wanted to hold something that looked ridiculous.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Every year I went to AX when I was in high school. I made wonderful friends, had memorable experiences (that I still dote on to this day) and will never forget it because it's how I grew up.
Tell us a little about yourself
I went on hiatus for 3 1/2 years. 2008 will be the first time I'm entering the halls of Anime Expo or any convention for the matter since then. Currently I work and go to school as a film major. I hope this year will bring back some great and old memories.
