What got you into cosplay?
Becoming obsessed with anime and going to conventions. Conventions are more fun when you cosplay because you get to pretend you're an anime character, show off your costume, and fit in with the thousands of others cosplayers at the cons. ^__^
What was your first costume and why?
Kisa Sohma from Fruits Basket. I wanted to choose someone with a simple outfit and you can't get much simplier than a school uniform! XD Also, I like to cosplay minor characters that fans of the series will recognize, but someone who isn't overcosplayed. I don't like running into 12 other clones of myself, espiecially if their costumes are all better than mine! O_o;
What is your favorite costume and why?
Hmmm...well, I've only cosplayed one character so far so that doesn't leave me a ton of options! :-P I'm sure I'll like my next costumes more than my Kisa one.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Yes! Gabriel/Jibrille from Angel Sanctuary...OMG, that costume has everything I want in a cosplay! Wings, tattoo-like body markings, a glove (yes, just one! lol), and a BEAUTIFUL dress! ...I have no clue how to make it but maybe one day... ^_^
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
O_o; I don't have much cosplay experience so I don't have many memories! T_T
Oh! I know one! When some half-naked male cosplayer spotted me and screamed "Oh my God! It's KISA!!!" and glomped me right in front of my boyfriend...then suddenly ran away leaving me in an utterly tramatized state. x_x;
Do you participate in masquerades?
Haven't yet. I'm shy and haven't a good enough costume yet.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a sophomore at the University of the Incarnate Word and I'm majoring in Fine Arts (drawing photography stuffs). I used to lifeguard in the summer but now I'm a cashier at Target. I love to play DDR, read manga, and eat sushi! ^__^
