What got you into cosplay?
My friend, LadyJade. The outfits were so cool and it looked like so much fun!
What was your first costume and why?
Great Saiyaman, for Dress-Like-Your-Favorite-Character Day at my high school. I was into DBZ at the time, so I ghetto cosplayed ^^
What is your favorite costume and why?
Either my Kurenai Touka outfit or my Jing outfit. Touka because it's feminine and rather empowering to wear. It's really a costume I can have fun wearing! And Jing is just so comfortable, but the idea of wearing the costume just gets me excited!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I don't really have one, but if I had to pick one that I'm excited to do, it'd be either the Venetian outfit that Suoh Tamaki wears in the Ouran manga or Ariyoshi Satsuki's outfit from the cover of Millennium Snow (the second volume).
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
At Acen 2008, we had epic G Gundam shenanigans XD We had three Ginyu Force-esque poses that we could strike on cue. It was so awesome and I hope we can do that again.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Sometimes. But honestly, I've never had that much fun in a true Masquerade.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I wrote a skit for the 2007 ACen masquerade! It was dork and pretty lame, but we had fun :D
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Best in Show at Pokettokon 2008 for Suigintou from Rozen Maiden.
Tell us a little about yourself
I love making props! Especially props that resemble bones. Those are the best! I also love to do face painting. That's the main reason I did Kankurou (aside from the fact that I love his character) and the main reason I'll do Lida [from Psycho le Cemu] in the future!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love drawing, watching anime, and building Gundam models in my spare time.
