What got you into cosplay?
I did a few costumes here and there, but I was never really into it until ACen 2k1. My Malice Mizer group won an award and I was hooked! Each year I've gotten progressivly more ambitious.
What was your first costume and why?
Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars Episode 1 the Phantom Menece. I've always wanted to be a Jedi!
What is your favorite costume and why?
My Jack Sparrow cosplay is by far my most beloved costume. What more can I say? I love playing a drunken pirate!!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I've got it in my mind to do more movie costumes. More elaborate, crazy 'what was I thinking?' costumes. Now that Barbossa is finished, I've got to find something else more insane than that.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
That feeling our group got, when we were coming out of the elevators dressed in our Gekka no Yasoukyoku outfits, and we were just bombarded by flashbulbs and gasps. It was a really neat experience to have shown off our skills to the point that we couldn't walk more than 5 steps before someone wanted our picture. Even people that didn't know who we were took our pictures!
Do you participate in masquerades?
I'm finished with the masquerade scene. Very much finished with it.
What was your best masquerade experience?
First time ever cosplaying JRock, 2nd time on a stage, my Gardenia Malice Mizer group won a Judge's Choice. We were the first award of the evening!

Tell us a little about yourself
I learned to sew all by myself. My mom was sick of me stealing her sewing machine so much (she never used it!) that she bought me my own ;) I just finished school with my B.A. degree in graphic design. I'm planning on continuing my education to work towards a Theater major to start on my way to my ultimate goal of film costuming.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Satin is not an all-purpose fabric! Use it sparingly!
