What got you into cosplay?
What was your first costume and why?
Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Taisen. Prairie was making a Sumire Kanzaki costume and we thought I'd make a good Sakura. I happily obliged, and on Halloween night 1998 we went for ramen noodles and a ska show.
What is your favorite costume and why?
The R. Dorothy Wayneright manga dress that Prairie made for me is my favorite because it involves dressing up as my favorite anime character, and it's extremely comfortable. It's fun to spin around in, too.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
R. Dorothy's red Nightingale Club dress, definitely, with a lot of sparkle and detail. If I ever lost weight and got all buff, I think I could find it in my heart to cosplay as Fujiko or one of the ladies from the Mazinger universe.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Hmmm... probably when I cosplayed as Digiko at Otakon 2000 and wanted to go pee, but kept getting stopped to have my photo taken. DAMNIT I HAD TO PEE!!!
Do you participate in masquerades?
What was your best masquerade experience?
Going to dinner instead.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
