What got you into cosplay?
I had been a budding anime fan since the 8th grade, and I wanted to really get into it when I went to a anime conference for the first time. I've always loved dressing up in fun costumes--now I have an excuse!
What was your first costume and why?
I dressed as an original character because the plans to go to the con were last minute. Originally I was dressed to be Shampoo from Ranma, but my hair dye turned pink instead of purple, so no one got it.
What is your favorite costume and why?
So far my favorite costume is Seras Victoria from Hellsing. I feel powerful and sexy in it, and it gives off such a studly attitude. I also love the attention I get from it--there's so many Ceres fans out there!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
So far I would love to make the costumes from Galexy Angel, Aisha Clan Clan from Outlaw Star, or the bezerker dresses from Magick Knights Rayearth. They are just so beautiful and look so great, but not only would the costume be difficult, but to get the right body to put in them would be pretty damn hard.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Being stopped by some serious Seras fans. They were two guys who were so jazzed to see me, and had to get a photo. They said I was the best one they ever saw! Strangely tho, they had me give them the finger in the photo...
Do you participate in masquerades?
I don't consider my stuff good enough yet, so aside from being an active audience, no.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
nope. Haven't entered, so I would be surprized to have won anything.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a senior in college double majorning in Digital Media and fine art painting. I'm going to be a concept artist designing characters for motion picture films and video games.
