What got you into cosplay?
I've ALWAYS loved to cosplay..just not necessarily Anime characters. I've loved anime since the beginning of time but I never really thought of dressing up as characters from it before. I was Sailor Moon in Grade 5 though. That would have probably been my first ever Anime Cosplay.But the main thing that got me into cosplay was the elaborate costumes my mom would make me for halloween, it was sooo much fun and have always loved doing it.
What was your first costume and why?
First Costume for anime would have been Sailor Moon in Grade 5 because Sailor Moon is awesome. My friend dressed up as Sailor Mars with me! yay!
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love all my costumes!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have always wanted to do a costume with elaborate feather wings!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My most memorable experience would probably be when I was Sailor Moon in Grade 5 and a little girl coming up to me and saying "Look Mom its the Real Sailor Moon!!" and my mom turns to her and says "Yep she's the Real Sailor Moon!" I was so cool! Being on TV in my Yuuko cosplay was pretty memorable.. to promote the Anime Evolution '06 convention! YA! And this girl at AE '06 recognized me from being on TV! haha Good times! Being named Awesome Gaara because of my Half-Transformed Gaara Cosplay. Also being called 'hardcore Gaara' and 'Gaara of da Funk'! Getting a couple standing ovations, lots of applause and lots of FOR THE WIN in my Gaara cosplay at AE '07! yay!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes I have once! It was a smashin' good time~!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
My friend and I got a small prize for coming second or runner up or something at a small anime convention! We didn't even enter for it..! Go Us!
Tell us a little about yourself
I have recently graduated from a Graphic Design course and am currently working as a Production Artist for a company. My plans are to pursue costume design on the side and maybe one day to do it as a career! My hobbies are music and going to wicked Concerts!! and of course ANIME! I also like: Design. Photography. Film. Fashion. Science. Guys. Wings.
