Simple facts:

Gender: F
Age: 25
Blood Type: B+ (I think)
Cosplay and me:
I started cosplaying in 2005 when I made a Naruto costume for Halloween. Before cosplaying I loved to sew and make different types of crafts, still do. When I went into college and bought a computer I discovered bittorrent and quickly became addicted to anime. Anime started show up in my creations.
I'm very particular about my cosplay choices. I like to cosplay as extravagant costumes with increasing difficulty regardless of interests in the anime or game. I like a challenge. I like that "awe" factor. Sadly, these types of costumes rarely last past one wearing. I also like to be the first to cosplay as a certain character (which is nearly impossible). I know it's silly, but I don't like being the 20th L at a convention. I'm very detailed-oriented in my costumes and I think my skill has grown considerably over the years. I'm hoping to tackle another dream costume soon.
I do go to conventions. There's a few I've been to. The one I always go to is a local convention, Ani-Jam in Fresno. I save my "good" cosplay for this convention's masquerade. It's really the only convention that I enter my costume for competition. I really love going to this convention and want to support it.
Sadly, my life is very busy. Luckily I have a few months open during summer where I do the most of my costuming. This means that most of the year I do very little in creating costumes. Then, come summer, life becomes painfully hectic. Months of doing nothing and then night after night of stressful crafting and sewing. "Will I get it done in time?" lol. I hope to change my procrastinating self.
My life outside of cosplaying:
I'm a very fickle person and my interests/obssessions are always changing. For example, high school I was obssessed with Anne Rice. College it was math, computer science, anime, and cosplaying. Years later I remember little about math or programming. I rarely watch anime or read manga, now. My most recent interest is reading. As much as I hate the squealing teens, I did enjoy the twilight series by Stephenie Meyers. I also love the Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampires Msyteries by Charlaine Harris and some of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series my Laurell K. Hamliton. Yeah, I love vampires. I don't think that'll change anytime soon.
