What got you into cosplay?
Watching old school anime like Pokemon and Dragonball Z got me into watching Tech TV, and from there I got to see cosplayers in action! From then on, I was hooked to the idea.
What was your first costume and why?
I was cosplaying in Jr. High around Halloween, although at the time I didn't know cosplay existed! So to be technically accurate, my first anime/video game/comic -genre costume was Kojirou [James] from Pokemon. Some kids lol'd at me for being dressed as a boy. IF ONLY THEY KNEW.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Mandark. Period.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Samus Aran in full Metroid armor. Mmmmm~ <3
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Every convention has fantastic, memorable moments, so it's hard to pick just one.
Do you participate in masquerades?
For my first contest, I was kind of rushed off to the emergency room (for the second time that weekend x_X) while waiting to go on stage. Oops.
But since then I've entered contests and managed to stay alive the entire time! That's progress, methinks.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I really have no idea. My favorite skits so far have been our Hocus Pocus, Fairly OddParents, and Howl's Moving Castle groups, so maybe one of those.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?

Judges Award @ AnimeFest '07 for Lazy Town skit.
Best Skit @ Onicon '07 for Cowboy Bebop skit.
Best in Show @ Anime Matsuri '08 for Kingdom Wands (Kingdom Hearts/ Fairly OddParents) skit.
Best in Show @ A-kon '08 for The Big O/ Evangalion skit.
Best in Show @ AnimeFest '08 for Kingdom Hearts/ Hocus Pocus skit.

Host's Favorite @ Ikkicon '09 for Death Note skit.
Best skit @ Akon '09 for Digimon/ Pokemon skit.
Best Dramatic @ AnimeFest '09 for Howl's Moving Castle skit.
Tell us a little about yourself
Well, I'm a Christian and proud of it, I'm a puppeteer, and have been since I was in sixth grade (While I would LOVE to work for Jim Henson or Nickelodeon, I have to be realistic. There is a HUGE waiting list just to be an intern at either company. But sometimes puppets make their way into our skits, I just can't resist!), and I also write, draw, and... well... cosplay.
Fun fun fun!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I'm a twin, and the less-cool one at that.
Also-- Conventions are a wonderful way to get in touch with people from a variety of places who share the same interests and passions, and some of my greatest friends are those that I've met at cons! Cosplayers are great people when their minds are in the right place.
