What got you into cosplay?
Going from convention to convention envying all of the wonderful costumes, and knowing I could do better than some others.
What was your first costume and why?
I made a Rainbow Brite costume, because I was feeling nastalgic and had seen several bad attempts from other people.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I just finished the Battle Garb from Jadis: the Chronicles of Narnia White Witch, it is my new favorite because of all the effort I put into making it, and the great care I took creating all the details
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I am conjuring a costume that I have entitled the cooper queen. It is a completely original idea, but I am very enthusiastic of its outcome.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
2 words... Wardrobe malfunction. (oops)
Do you participate in masquerades?
maquerades, no. But I do enter non-acting costume contests when they are available. The most recent being a Fabrications contest at Dragon*Con 2006.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Contests are great, you can meet other serious costumers and get tips and tricks to help you win the next year. Unless you happen to steal the show while you are there that year.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nothing yet, but I haven't been entering costume contests for long. I am optimistic, people seem to love my work.
Tell us a little about yourself
I work for a movie advertising agency, A graphic artist, I place movie ads for newspapers. When I am not working here I am at home working on costumes trying to acheive greatness and learning as much as I can about all aspects of the craft. I love DVD's, have a huge collection, and watch movies in the background all day long.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am excited to join this forum group, knowing that there are so many other people interested in serious costuming really puts a smile on my face. I anticipate learning a lot and making some great friends to hang out with at upcoming cons.
My favorite anime
I am not the huge anime fan that most of you probably are. I love re-creating movie characters, cartoon characters, and gaming characters
My favorite game(s)
Final Fantasy, Parasite Eve, Super Mario Bros. (any, and All of them) Tomb Raider Dance Dance revolution and Donkey Konga. woot
My favorite book(s)
I love sci-fi, fantasy, and mystery suspense novels. I could never chose a favorite.
My favorite character(s)
Laura Croft, and the Bad guys. I always love the vilians.
My favorite movies(s)
The Two Trilogies: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars. Classics will always make me smile. Comedies are great, action movies are wonderful. Horror movies scare me, but I watch them anyway (yea, with my hands over my eyes more than half the time)
My favorite actors/actresses
I can't really say I have favorite actress' or Actors. I love the work of a lot of people, but I would rather admire people I know in real life. Convention people I have grown close with over the years and can appreciate for there real self.
