What got you into cosplay?
My very first cosplay was Kikyo from Inuyasha, and at the time, I didn't know that cosplaying existed...All I wanted was to dress up in Miko attire and prance around. It wasn't until a year or so later that I discovered cosplay. ^^ I guess what actually got me into it was the interesting idea of making an anime character's outfit. I mean come on, how many people do that? At the time, I thought barely any...Boy was I wrong. o_o
What was your first costume and why?
Kikyo. I love Miko fokus. That was all there was to it. :D
What is your favorite costume and why?
Now it would have to be Cosmo from the Fairly Oddparents. Everyone ran up to us and hugged us or sang the theme song as they walked by! xDD Plus our props were super accurate (At least I hope so...) and our crowns floated! xD Oh, and some people thought I was a guy, which made me happy~
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Even though it's uber simple, Jack from Harvest Moon 64. He just owns all around. Oh, and Bubbles from the PPG. xD
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Skipping on Saturday night at AWA 13... YourSpilledMilk and I were in our FOP cosplay and we skipped past the long line for the concerts (basically from the ballroom to the entrance to the Dealers' Room) and everyone cheered and yelled for us. o_o It was very funny and a lot of fun. So many people supported our cosplay! xD
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet. Hopefully soon. They sound like a lot of fun. ^^
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope. I plan on entering a costume contest at MomoCon '08 though, so I hope I will win something! :D
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a senior in High School and currently crossplay rather than cosplas. My first con was AWA 2006 and I've been to 3 cons since. They really are a lot of fun and I've made tons of friends from them. ^^ I've been into anime since 1999 and have been drawing since then as well (DevArt: choco_chan). I prefer Japanese music to English, and I love to sing karaoke~ My current favorite series is Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann and I am putting together a giant group cosplay for MomoCon '08. xD Look out for us~
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I like wig styling... o_o Not many people do. I also do props. I just love making them and receiving compliments for my hard work! <3
