What got you into cosplay?
Ano...well, I've always enjoyed dressing up in costumes and eventually I got into anime and it spred from there. Things, of course, haven't changed. Can't go to a con without cosplaying!
What was your first costume and why?
Ano...I've worn so many anime costumes that It's kinda hard to differenciate between the normal halloween costumes and cosplay...I suppose the first "cosplay" costume was my Jedi costume. It was a make-shift Qui-Gon Jinn costume. My little brother and I had bought the jedi play sets so he was able to be Obi-Wan.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Most definately my Tsuzuki Asato costume. Aside from being one of the easiest to put together and one of my best so far, It's extrememly comfortible and I enjoy LARPing as the Shinigami as well.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Ah....too many dream costumes! I'll just list them; they're in no particular order:
Darth Maul - Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace
Yue - Card Captors Sakura
Demon Tsuzuki - Yami no Matsuei
that-dark-skinned-crow-brother - Yami no Matsuei Manga, Vol. 9
K' Prime - King of Fighters
And so many more...I'll add as I remember them...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Hmm...I really don't know any more. Probably, so far, MTAC 2005 simpy because, at the time, I was going through a lot of drama with people at school, and it was a chance for me to say 'fuck you world' and get away from it all and reconnect with myself.
Probably tied with that is Otakon 2004 and 2005 because...well *giggle* <3
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes!
What was your best masquerade experience?
All of them are wonderful! MetroCon2003, I had the best time waiting in line talking with the other people I was competing against. I didn't win, but I had an awesoem time all the same. I got to pose with these cute little kids, too!
Animazement 2005, I participated in the Soggy Bottom Alchemist skit as Maes Hughes. We won 2nd in the advanced level.
Otakon 2005 we preformed "The Price of Life" and won, at the Craftsman level both best performance and saddest scene in FMA.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, not for the costumes...
