About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
Well, I've always enjoyed dressing up in costumes and eventually I got into anime and it spread from there. Things, of course, haven't changed.
What was your first costume and why?
I've worn so many anime costumes that It's kinda hard to differentiate between the normal Halloween costumes and cosplay. I suppose the first "cosplay" costume was my Jedi costume. It was a make-shift Qui-Gon Jinn costume. My little brother and I had bought the jedi play sets so he was able to be Obi-Wan.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My BLU Engineer costume, and despite constantly being mistaken for Bob the Builder, it's overall one of the most recognized costumes I have and probably one of my best thus far.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Ah... I'll just list some of them; they're in no particular order: Darth Maul - Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace Robin - Batman: The Animated Series Big Daddy (Elite Rosie) - Bioshock Wolf Link - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Link - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Fierce Deity Link - Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Otakon 2008 - the first time I cosplayed as Engineer. The TF2 Photoshoot was amazing and the trip to Hooters afterwards was even better. However, I can't really think of a single time I've not enjoyed wearing that costume.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, though not as often as I used to.
What was your best masquerade experience?
MetroCon2003, I had the best time waiting in line talking with the other people I was competing against. I didn't win, but I had an awesome time all the same. I got to pose with these cute little kids, too. Otakon 2005 we preformed "The Price of Life" and won, at the Craftsman level both best performance and saddest scene in FMA.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, not for the costumes.
