What got you into cosplay?
Back in 2000 I found out about Anime Expo and really wanted to go and I was dying to cosplay at that.
What was your first costume and why?
That same time for my first con I decided to do one costume, even though I was only going for one day. But at this time I had zero experience in anything involving cosplay, but some how I managed to make a girl-type Ranma costume, wig and all. I had lots of fun at it, but wanted to do better in next year.
What is your favorite costume and why?
My Harry Potter costume above all else, especially the GoF version I made in 2005. I don't know what it is a combination of my love for the fandom and also how well the costume came out. I also love going to book and movie premieres to see how happy older and younger fans alike love seeing someone dressed as Harry Potter. Makes me smile tons, ^_^.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
A dream costume? Truthfully, I've always wanted to crossplay as Hashiba Touma from Yoriden Samurai Troopers. His full on Tenku armor, but it's totally beyond me!!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
*thinks a long while*You know what? Everytime I cosplay it's a great experince! I get to make new friends at ever con I go to!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes! At ALA 07 I was in a Host club Skit! After that I've been in an IdolM@ster skit at AX07 and recently Folklore for ALA 08.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Only been in one so it would have to be the best!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
For ALA 08 I won most beautiful costume in the novice division craftsmanship.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm newly graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in English. And am now looking for a long time and hopefully well paying career. I'm now working through the gaming industry to try and obtain an editing position I have worked at Atlus USA on 2 game and am now currently working at Aksys Games as a QA member. I'm an avid fan of anime and manga. I cosplay and crossplay. Most of all I love music, especially japanese music, my favorite artist being T.M. Revolution! I've even seen him in concert >_<!!!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Ummm, I hope to make even more friends every year whether I able to continue cosplaying or not!!
