What got you into cosplay?
Wearing costumes and dressing up has been a favorite passtime of mine ever since I was a little girl! I would always look forward to Halloween as a kid, and I'd plan costumes months in advance. When I discovered that "dressing up" is allowed and widely accepted at conventions all the way into the adult years, I knew it was a hobby meant for me! I actually started wearing costumes for the medieval faire every year... and from then it evolved into conventions.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume worn to an actual convention was Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings. Her strong character got me through a lot of dark times in my life, and she has always been a role model and inspiration to me (where I get my screenname from). Many people tell me that I resemble Eowyn so it seemed like the perfect costume choice :)
What is your favorite costume and why?
Ashley Graham! I wasn't initially certain that I'd get a lot of positive feedback when I finished the costume, but she's become my most popular outfit! It's fun being the damsel in distress for a change. And her outfit is comfortable and cute. I've met a ton of friends through cosplaying Ashley, which is even more amazing. My second favorite costume is definitely Miguel!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Yes! Princess Zelda from Twilight Princess is definitely a dream costume of mine. I would love to make it one day when I have more time and money to spend on it.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?

Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope. I'm not interested in winning awards, I do it just for fun XD
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a college student pursuing a degree in Archaeology and I work part-time. I am married to the love of my life, who cosplays with me when he is able. I have a hamster named Kennedy (after Leon) and a Chinchilla named Link. I'm a vegetarian and I adore animals. I'm also a Rebel Legion member. Cosplay and conventions are obviously my main hobbies, but I enjoy writing, reading, scrap-booking and playing video games.
