What was your first costume and why?
My first serious costume as an adult was Jack Sparrow, made for a trip to Santa Cruz several years back. I wanted to have something really fun to wear for Halloween at UCSC, and Pirates had just come out that summer. I was one of the first people to research Jack's costume in detail - now way better cosplayers are out there for him!
What is your favorite costume and why?
I am most proud of the workmanship on my Guinevere costume - it took a lot of leather wrangling and I think the top turned out really well. But it's hard to wear because I'm self-conscious about my body! Speaking of which, even though I'm self-conscious sometimes, the costume I most enjoy wearing is Black Canary - playing a superhero is SO much fun.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Oh please - so many. Someday I wish I could do Emma Frost, but I don't think I'm cut out for it. I'm planning a bunch of other costumes at the moment, but I think my real dream is to have an event for which I could make Yvainne's Star Gown from Stardust...

My profile picture is of a Catwoman costume that belongs to my good friend! She let me borrow it one Halloween. : )
