What got you into cosplay?
I got into anime and manga through some friends at school, saw cosplayers, and thought it would be a fun hobby to try. xD
What was your first costume and why?
SnJ Deidara.
I needed a very fast costume, and at the time he was my favorite character, so that was what I came up with. (Edit: That costume is now retired for obvious reasons. Haha. )
What is your favorite costume and why?
Ciel's Pageboy outfit. It's very comfortable, and I feel like it's complete with all the details to my best ability.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Miaka's Priestess outfit from the artbook cover of Fushigi Yuugi, Ciel's pink ballgown from Kuroshitsuji, second or third arc Allen from D. Gray-Man, Timothy from D. Gray-Man... the list goes on.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Honestly, I don't think I could choose one time/event in particular. I've had a lot of fun with this hobby and at conventions.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, at Mikomicon 07 and Ani-Magic 07. I hope to again at future conventions, as well.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Winning Best in Show at Ani-Magic '07. I'm STILL shocked that we did so. xD
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Our group won Best in Show, so I suppose it half counts?
Tell us a little about yourself
I love anime, manga, cosplay (obviously xD), reading, sewing, writing, playing the violin, reading fanfiction, and drawing, photography... pretty much anything to do with the arts is something I enjoy or would like to learn.
My favorite anime
Gundam 00, Code Geass, D. Gray-Man, Okane Ga Nai, Death Note, Earthian. I also like the manga versions of Kuroshitsuji, Fushigi Yuugi and Loveless, but I wasn't too fond of any of their anime adaptations for one reason or another.
My favorite game(s)
Kingdom Hearts II, DDR, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Guitar Hero III, Rockband I & II, The World Ends With You, Donkey Kong Country
My favorite book(s)
The Dragonriders of Pern series, Shogun, A Secret Garden
My favorite character(s)
The list could go on and on, but a few of my all time favorites are Lavi, Kanda, Suzaku, Tieria Erde, Chichiri, Tasuki, and pretty much all of the Loveless cast.
My favorite movies(s)
Pan's Labyrinth, Little Miss Sunshine, the Back to the Future series, the Star Wars series, Spirited Away, Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky.
