What got you into cosplay?
Anime Expo 2004 and 2005. Cosplay looked like fun so I tried it out in 2006...now I can't stop cosplaying. AX2006 was also the first time my best friend went to an anime convention, as well as the first time I stayed for the entire 4 days. Now me, my best friend, and my twin sister are a cosplaying trio!
What was your first costume and why?
Souseiseki (Rozen Maiden); I saw the costume on ebay and really really wanted to buy it and so I did.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Ash Ketchum/Satoshi; (1) it was most comfortable, (2) it was the first costume I ever made, (3) I like to crossdress,and (4) it made me really happy when hundreds of people took our picture at AX (my friends were Brock/Takeshi and Misty/Kasumi)...it's too bad I've only found one or two pictures on cosplay.com of this one though.
Actually, Aeris, Souseiseki, Hitachiin Hikaru, and Mitsukuni Haninozuka were pretty fun too. XD
I loved hosting people at Yaoi-con 2006 as the Hitachiin twins. And I've had many great memories from doing the skit for ALA2007 as Honey-sempai. So now I just don't know...
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
hm, something fancy and colorful....but not TOO fancy so I can still move around okay....maybe Zidane Tribal.
I've been wanting to do Gravitation cosplay as well but that probably won't be happening for quite some time now.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
can't choose...it's all too fun.
Do you participate in masquerades?
..participated in the Anime Los Angeles 2007 and 2008 masquerades! ^^
What was your best masquerade experience?
The best part would definitely be WINNING! I won both times. The first time, I was with the UCLA anime club in an Ouran Host Club skit dancing to N'Sync's "It's Gonna Be Me" as Honey-sempai and the crowd screamed sooo loud the entire time, it was like being a real boy band. I know we danced very badly compared to real dancers but that's not the part that matters. ^^; The second time was also a dance skit with the UCLA anime club. We danced to the Korean pop song "Balloons" by DBSK in a Pokemon skit. :)
