What got you into cosplay?
The first year I cosplayed was the first time I went to Animethon which was Animethon 10 in 2003. Since then I've loved it.
What was your first costume and why?
I went as Kikyou from InuYasha because at the time I just loved the traditional priestess outfit. But now I'm definately willing to try a LOT more detailed and intricate outfits. I've also started planning some original character designs for the future.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'd have to say, out of my costumes, would be my Hobbes costume, because it I didn't go home with scraped and bruised legs like I did in my lulu costume. My favorite costume that's not mine would have to be my best friend's vampire outfit she wore for halloween. It was authentic victorian which was beautiful red velvet and whatnot, though unfortunately it was store bought in separate peices (coat, pants, etc weren't bought together) and assembled to look like a vampire.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Something exquisite, original, and high quality that I'll make that could easily get me 1st place at a con costume contest. I just love all those beautifully made costumes. Update: Sanshi from The 12 Kingdoms
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
By far the compliments you get from having an awsome costume, and getting stopped every 5 minutes for pictures. It makes me feel special lol. Or when you go as a made-up character and you get stopped by people saying "Oh I know that anime!! I love that character!!" XD
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yeah, I did for the first two years I went to Animethon, it was pretty cool.
What was your best masquerade experience?
My last one where my friend went as Nahga from Slayers, and I went as her manager. The skit started with Nahga coming out of the bathroom laughing since I, the manager, welded her bathroom door shut but she got out. Man it surprised a lot of people since they weren't expecting her to come from the bathroom at the side of the room behind the crowd HA!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Not yet, but like I implied before. I will XD When I get good enough at making costumes.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a graduate from highschool and I've been out for about two years. I actually plan on starting college in fall 2007 going for my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese. Once college is done I plan on travelling the world learning about as many different cultures as possible, especially in the culinary arts. Upon coming back, I'm hoping to open up my own coffee shop to which will be a very pro-art community so for artists, writers, ammature short film makers, and yes...cosplayers. I really want the coffee shop to give aspiring artists of all kinds the chance to get their names out to the public, and also the art community.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I'm also starting a webcomic with one of my best friends. It's not up yet, but we're hoping it'll be popular enough to sell merchandise and even have booths at popular conventions across North America. And the upcoming Animethon 14 I'm in the Artist's Alley. And I hope to also be able to talk to the chairman about bringing in some more cool things to a-thon.

Wow, there's really too many to list here. but one of my recent favorites would have to be The Twelve Kingdoms.
My favorite game(s)
Final Fantasy 12 all the way!! And of course the rest of the Final Fantasy Series. I LOVE DDR as well though I wish my stupid PS2 will read my DDR CD properly, stupid second-hand consols.
My favorite book(s)
Mangas. Can't ever forget mangas. And fantasy novels mainly. I also love to read stories my friends write themselves.
My favorite character(s)
Hmm, wow I actually have an answer for this lol. Rokuta and King En from The Twelve Kingdoms. Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi, and who can forget the twins Kaoru and Hikaru from Ouran Highschool Host Club, oo! and Honey too!
My favorite movies(s)
Okay this isn't fair! There's too many good movies out there!! Miyasaki Movies definately! The asian movies like House of Flying Daggers, Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, etc etc.
My favorite actors/actresses
I really admire Johnny Depp, but not because it seems most girls think he's hot. He's a brilliant and talented actor and that's where my deep respect lies.
