I got into Cosplay about a year and a half ago and love the hobby. Sewing gets my creative juices flowing and I found out that when you mix rum and sewing you can in fact figure out the physics of Naruto. Though don't expect to understand it when you sober up.
A seam ripper will always be your friend. You will always have a love/hate relationship with your sewing machine. And no matter how good/ awesome/ fantastic your outfit looks, something will in fact go wrong at least once at a con.
