What got you into cosplay?
I don't really get an excuse to dress up in odd clothing on a daily basis. To be honest I shouldn't ever do it.... Cosplay offers a temporary excuse to be doing something that I know is foolish.
What was your first costume and why?
Aoshi Shinomori... mostly because I thought it would be easier to make for me. Of course, I was wrong.... Ugh. *rolls his eyes* What I ended up with was absolutely horrible.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Presently...? Hmmm. I think I like things I've made in bits and pieces. Mr. Zeppeli is just fun to wear, but the mustache is a pain in the butt. Sasori's puppet is entertaining until I trip over the robes. Red Man is fun until something slides out of place and I'm helpless to fix it. Etc. I doubt that I'll ever really be happy enough with a costume to call it my "favorite".
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
It's remarkably easy to think of things that you'd like to make. So I'll mention ones that are likely to be made. The only one I'm working towards right now is the Orpheus-Persona used by the main character from "Persona 3".
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Drinking a soda by inserting the straw up the nose of the mask I was wearing....
Do you participate in masquerades?
I would only if someone asked me to. There never seems to be enough time to practice or make things work out well and I really hate to do something like that half-way. I'm not a fan of embrassing myself, even if it's only in my eyes.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I've only had one, and it really wasn't that great... hanging out in the backstage room was honestly the best part. *laughs* Stagefright.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Nope.
Tell us a little about yourself
I manage a convenience store... that means I contemplate strangling people at least 10 times a day. Be they me or others, it doesn't matter. I also run a webcomic called "Anti-Bishie" and spend far too much time playing video games.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Oh, and I'm shy. Very much so. Very very hard to talk to people....
My favorite anime
Azumanga Daioh, Cosplay Complex, Rurouni Kenshin, Read or Die, Robot Carnival, both Vampire Hunter D films, They Were 11... the list could go on and on. Those are just a few off the top of my head.
My favorite game(s)
Egads... this is a ridiculous question. Ummm... most of the Final Fantasy series, the Street Fight series, the Mega Man series, Soul Caliber, the Panzer Dragoon series, Ooga Booga, Jet Grind Radio, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, NiGHTS: Into Dreams, Three Dirty Dwarves, etc, etc, etc... there are a ton of awesome video games people!
My favorite book(s)
Oh! "Notes from Underground" by Fyodor M. Dostoevsky! There are a lot of others, too, but no one has ever read this one. It's about a man who is quite a bit disturbed, but that's what makes him so awesome. Call me wacky, but I must admit 2 times 2 makes 5 really is quite charming. *giggles*
My favorite character(s)
I really hate favorites questions, you know that? *laughs* Who are a few people that are cool. Ummm... Blademaster Devon from "Maken X" is quite awesome. Bob, from the "Zieram: Iria" movies is great... particularly when he dances in the second live-action flick. Sagat, of "Street Fighter" fame... no one ever gives that guy the credit of awesome-ness that he deserves. ^_^
My favorite movies(s)
Besides anime ones? Ummm... I dunno.... Oh! I know! Kaiju films! "Rawr!!!" *lazer breathe*
How about "Hakaider". Tehehehe... that movie is so wacky. "I kill you!" ~ARGH! *death*~ Que the feathers. *laughs*
My favorite actors/actresses
I can't answer this one... though I will say that I really do not like seeing movies with Tom Cruise. Not sure why, but I don't. Tom Cruise = bad vomiting in the isles....
