Ginpatsu

Personally, I'm somewhat a perfectionist when it comes to cosplaying. I refuse to cosplay characters I don't know enough about, feel that I have no similarities with, can't behave like or believe that my skills aren't good enough to handle the costumes. "Somewhat" because I have very little free time to sit down and make things and can't help the urge to procrastinate.

Personality wise, I've been told I act like Kakashi. And been told when I was him that I make a really good one. I admit I do take a little too much pride on that. Needless to say that I have his arrogance. Lol .. And his perfectionist beliefs, tardiness and bipolar..-ness. o-o

I've yet to seriously get into private photoshoots is why the photos I have up are mostly provided by convention photo takers or found on photo providing sites. Credits given when due. Muchly appreciated to those who took pics! ^^

Cosplay obsessions/weakness:
-White/silver hair ( meaning of "Ginpatsu".. kinda )
-Injuries/scars
-Optimistic pessimism
-Unusual eyes/contacts (especially red)
-Male kimonos/yukatas
-Suits, formal/evening wear
-Katana, kunai, staves/spears/lances, chains, scythes.. Sanzo's gun

What got you into cosplay?
An interest in anime, manga and related stuff since a long time ago. Only got into cosplaying since 2006 due to work schedule conflictions with local conventions and no money to travel.
What was your first costume and why?
Flashback/haircut Gojyo from Saiyuki. Bad attempt. No pictures.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
There are a lot of planned costumes on my list. Haven't gotten around to actually sit down and make them yet. I'll get there eventually.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Being Tamaki as part of KyouTaBeMoKa! HaHa! for Sakura-con07, the Ouran cosplay and Masquerade skit group. Our group had exceptional people and although I missed a lot of the other events of the convention (like Dealer's Room) it was completely worth it. Update: Sakura-con08. I finally got my Kakashi outfit together on the last day and had a blast walking around in Kakashi's shoes.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Been in one (so far) as part of KyouTaBeMoKa!HaHa! for Sakura-Con 2007.

Saiyuki (namely the manga), Naruto (manga), Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, OuranHSHC, KHReborn!, Wolf's Rain, Howl's Moving Castle, a lot more.

Seeing that I don't normally watch live action movies, I favor seiyuu (Japanese) and a couple of voice actors more.
