What got you into cosplay?
I like dressing up in costumes and being creative.
What was your first costume and why?
Um, I wore a Ninja Turtle costume that I designed when I was eleven. My first anime costume was Video Girl Ai, because I liked the character, she wasn't scantily clad and I didn't see too much of her around at the time.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I like all my costumes. Of my latest costumes I like Black Hayate and Gin the best because they're so much fun to wear and I came out well. I love my Hawkeye too but that's mainly because I love Hawkeye as a character.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I want to do a full body, life size Kirby with foam and all. Pink puffballs unite!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Working with a two then three then four person group at Anime USA and watching the ideas just flow so quickly and wildly.
Mostly I like hanging out and taking silly pictures with friends.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Oh yeah. I love doing skits, as long as I have some small or large hand in what goes on in them. I've won a few small craftsmanship and presentation awards too.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Making my entrance as Gourry-Veemon at Anime USA and hearing (couldn't see too well) the utter shock and delight of the crowds' reaction.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Performance awards mostly. I won Most Humorous at Anime USA 2001 with three others and I won a judge's award at Ikasucon 2003.
Tell us a little about yourself
I have a cat, a hat, three rats, and a husband. I also collect toys, stuff, dust, and play video games. My other hobbies are mythology, animals and DnD.
Unfortunately I'm most well known for being the idiot who broke her ankle on stage during the Ohayocon 06 Masquerade. >_<
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Cosplaying is all about having fun. Don't lose sight of that.
