What got you into cosplay?
my friends^^ plus my inborn love of clothing and the making of....stuff. Come on, how could I resist?
What was your first costume and why?
If you mean my first con costume, it was Asuka, from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I made her yellow dress because it was easy, I had two weeks to do it, and I was obsessed with Evangelion at the time. My first costume, period, was Soulcatcher, from a book series called Annals of the Black Company, one of my favorite series EVER.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love all of my costumes equally. Though lately, my Nanao has become my costume of choice, thanks to the incredible comfiness of hakama. <3
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
One day, I WILL make Samus' armor(Metroid Samus). I'm not talking the plaster or cellulite copies you see now, I'm talking lightweight, enameled-metal armor. XD w00t! Now if only I could make her weapons to go with it, and compress myself into the ball to roll around...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
the first time I set foot on stage at AZ '02 during the cosplay competition. I haven't been able to pull myself away since.

Tell us a little about yourself
I graduated from NWSA in 05, majoring in chorus and clothing design. Now, I'm attending a local community college, a great opportunity to continue working on costume and stage design. Of course I like anime and cosplaying(that should go without saying), but I'm also interested in a variety of other things, including various artistic pursuits, 'gaming(both the tabletop and video sorts), fantasy books, rollerblading, baseball, and soccer. I am also in the process of setting up preliminary work on a clothing line/boutique, and hope to get a small business license within the next three years. And I am obsessed with zombies. >_> And World of Warcraft.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I have a tendency to die alot. In fact, I'm almost constantly dying. Not literally, at least not always; it's just easier to say I'm dead than to try and explain every new illness that happens along. They choose to happen along quite frequently. >.< Stupid slacker immune system.

Bakuretsu Tenshi, Bleach, Witch Hunter Robin, Hellsing, Tsubasa Chronicles, Rozen Maiden, Tenjou Tenge, BECK, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Cardcaptor Sakura, NGE, Guu, Samurai 7, Cowboy Bebop, Angel Sanctuary, anything CLAMP-related, Haunted Junction, and scads of others
My favorite game(s)
Currently? World of Warcraft. Server Kael'Thas, 40 undead warlock named Saraneth, if you're interested. Horde FTW! I also have a fondness for old-school RPGS, and most things for the Super Nintendo. A few other favorites are FFVII, VIII, and III, Chrono Cross, and Legend of Dragoon. DDR should go without saying.

the Kushiel's Legacy quartet by Jacqueline Carey; Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen, by Garth Nix; anything by Anne Rice or Stephen King; the Darkangel series, by Meredith Ann Pierce; the Shannara series by Terry Brooks; the Samaria series, by Sharon Shinn....there are too many more to list. I'm a book fanatic, and a fantasy series fanatic in particular. If you can think of any good ones, please pass along the titles! ^^
