What got you into cosplay?
I love the idea of getting to be someone else for a day (or more!). Especially dressing with other people, role playing and that sort of thing. The only costume that was part of a group so far was my snape (my friend was dumbledore and later lucius. The awesome thing about it is my nickname became Sev and she's forever known as Dore to me :)
What was your first costume and why?
The Great Saiyaman... I don't know why. But I learned all the moves and it was fun as heck. XD Actually on second thought, it might have been Snape. Hmm..
What is your favorite costume and why?
My current one I've almost finished: The Undertaker from Black Butler. I've become pretty decent at robes now (since 90% of my costumes are robes or capes) so it's turning out really well.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Something with armor!! I'm such a newb at cosplay even though I've technically been doing it for years... Not until recently did I learn there are ways to make armor that's not out of metal (sad I know). I'm working on a Zuko costume craft foam/poster board paper mache. It's turning out pretty well, but I really wish I was better. EDIT: I got a raise at work, whoo! So maybe I can start playing with the more expensive but better materials.
Tell us a little about yourself
I work in an enviromental lab, it's pretty cool. I love to craft and cosplay obviously :) Recently got into airsoft and I love video games. Not married and no kids... although I'd love to meet someone to cosplay with :)
My favorite anime
So many... Let's start listing them I guess (in no real order): Fruits Basket, Elfen Lied, Soul Eater, Trinty Blood, Black Butler, Gankutsuou, Ouran Host Club, Shuffle!, Spice and Wolf... Does Avatar last airbender count? Loved that series. Ones I want to see put here so I remember the titles: Death Note, Ah! My Goddess, Gurren Lagann, D. Grey Man, Blood +, High School of the Dead, Slayers...

Fable series, Dragon Age series, Fallout 3/vegas, just started playing Mass effect again,
My favorite book(s)
I love fantasy and supernatural: Patricia Briggs, Carrie Vaughn, Charlaine Harris are some of my favorite authors.
My favorite character(s)
I love Patricia Briggs' Mercy (in Moon Called). She's a strong but such a realistic character.
