Kuroshii

I am a pretty normal girl from Kassel/Germany, loving animes and mangas as much as games and do cosplay since 2005. My sewing skills aren't that good, but I try and learn to get better to one day do the cosplays I like, because I really like to dress up an be someone else for fun. Besides that, I'm still going to school but I will finish my exams in a few weeks and then I hope I get a job. If not, well, let's see what the future will bring us. I really like to try and keep cosplaying up, so I will eventually get better. Other hobbies of mine are surfing the internet, stalking people on dA, LJ, y! or animexx, writing and translating fanfiction, play computergames and do pointless things with my friends.

What got you into cosplay?
I fist saw cosplayers on the Connichi 2003 and it fascinated me immediately. The costumes were so great and I really wanted to know why they were dressed like this. After I learned of cosplay I wanted to do my own and since then I really love to do it ^^
What was your first costume and why?
My first self made costume was Ishizu Ishtar from YuuGiOu. I was planned for a group on the Leipziger bookfair 2005, but I didn't find my group. Well, I think it's better, the costume was awful xD""
What is your favorite costume and why?
I'm honest, I don't have a real favourite costume yet, but kinda I like the Zexion Atlantica costume, even though it's not completely finished yet. It's the costume I spend most time with and I think it turned out quite well ^^ The only thing that bothers me is, that it's quite uncomfortable because of the fishtail xD""
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Well, I have a lot of dream cosplays or cosplays I really want to make, but I think the ones I want to make the most are Helga von Vogelweide from Trinity Blood (although I never read the manga or saw the anime xD"") and the last form of Marluxias Nobody from Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My friends and I were on the Bookfair Leipzig 2007 and we were to early at the station for our train, so we decided to sit in front of the McDonald's and eat something. So we sat there in our Organization coats, my friend as Marluxia (including her scythe), me as Zexion and an acquaintance of us as Halloween Sora, and after some time a bunch of drunken football fans passed us and stopped to buy more alcohol in a nearby shop. So some of them went into the shop, the others waited outside and began to throw little coins at us and to call us Nazis. Well, we ourselfes had a kind of laughing flash, because of the ridiculousness of their statement, since we never met a Nazi with flowery pink hair like Marlus and a pink scythe xD" And since that day we make fun of that statement in calling our Marlu "Pink-black Party Nazi" xxxxxxD
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Erm... well, I was on a photo in the German anime magazine "AnimaniA" with my Zexion cosplay, but that's not really an award, is it xD
Tell us a little about yourself
Something about myself? Well... I live in Germany xD"" I'm... 19... go to school for my education and hope to find a job soon so that I could stay with my friends in Kassel. I like to experiment with cameras and photoshop, but I'm not very good at it (even though that's what I learn at school <,<""") Other hobbies of mine are writing fanfiction, meeting with friends, reading and watching movies :3
