What got you into cosplay?
Playing dress-up has always been something I've enjoyed. After I was the only one of my friends who didn't throw together a costume for our first convention, I decided I didn't want to be the only one left out next time. Since then I've come to love sewing and crafting and bringing two-dimensional designs to life.
What was your first costume and why?
Miwako Sakurada. It was my first time really sewing, and, even though I spent a good portion of my time cursing at my fabric choices, it's what got me hooked. I picked Miwako because I was very into ParaKiss at the time and a bunch of friends said that they wanted to do a group cosplay from it. I'm still the only one who has finished the outfit chosen. XD;
What is your favorite costume and why?
Currently, it's tied between May from Guilty Gear and Utena Tenjou. May looks amazing for such a simple costume and was a good learning experience, especially with props. She is so cute and easy to get into character-wise. Utena is pretty much exactly the person I want to be, so cosplaying her was like a dream come true. <3
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Gally's Motorball outfit. I want to do it someday, but it looks difficult since I don't know anything about working with plastics and whatnot. But it would be soooo cool to have. I'll do it when I've got more money to experiment. Also, I want to find my doppelganger in the world so we can make the perfect Rikkai D1 and switch throughout the day.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
The first photo shoot I ever went to at A-kon 20. Everyone was so sweet. I love meeting new people at conventions! <3
Tell us a little about yourself
Foreign language is my passion. I'm going to school for some combination of French, Chinese, and Japanese (and possibly Russian), unless I change my mind for the millionth time. I'm also a student of the School of Stage Combat and part of the Twisted Blades fighting troupe. I love books more than I should, and music, but most of all I like laughing and making other people laugh. And I'm terribly in love with a guy who looks a lot like Robert Downey Jr. and makes yummy spaghetti. ^///^ I'm really friendly, if a little shy; feel free to pm me or let's meet at a con sometime! <3

FUCK THE BACK ROW. 8D Also, I'm one of the two cosplay directors for Tokyo in Tulsa. Lately I've started to go by "FoxSocks" online/at conventions (I really wish I could change this account name, too).
