What got you into cosplay?
Well, I didn't really understand the whole concept of dressing up as a character from a show (even though I did Ash Ketchum for Halloween in 5th grade). I had thoughts of doing it, though, and I wanted to be Ino Yamanaka for Anime Banzai 2005 in Salt Lake City. My parents didn't understand the concept, either, so I just didn't cosplay that year. When AB 2006 came along, I was on an Alphonse high after watching the FMA movie and decided to cosplay him. Now cosplay is a small hobby for me.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Alphonse Elric. Sadly enough, I didn't make anything on it except the transmutation circle on my gloves...
What is your favorite costume and why?
Mia. My friends tell me I was born to cosplayer her. |D I love walking around and having people yell "Objection!" "Take that!" "Hold it!" and the like at me. The shoes hurt, though... ToT
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I would have to say KOS-MOS from Xenosaga. She's so beautiful and epic. *_* I'd also like to accomplish Cammy some day, too.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I liked being worshiped in a hallway as Alphonse at Anime Banzai 2006. XD Also, at Anime Oasis EVO 2009, I was walking in the dealer room as Mia Fey and some guy looked at me funny and said, "Nine?" referring to my magatama. My friends and I joke about it all the time now.
Do you participate in masquerades?
No.
Tell us a little about yourself
I am currently a student at Southern Utah University. I'm majoring in Photography. My hobbies include taking cosplay photos for my friends, listening to music, hanging out with friends, dreaming up cosplay ideas, I like to play sports and I'm pretty artsy... I want to visit Italy one day and hope I can learn Italian some time!
