What got you into cosplay?
A friend of mine invited me to Otakon 2004 and suggested I should cosplay. I had always wanted to cosplay (I don't remember when I first heard of it though) and decided to give it a try. Before the con, my mom and I made three simple costumes, which didn't come out too great since we did them in just a few days.
Because I'm a procrastinator I didn't cosplay again until ConnectiCon 2007 when I actually sat down with my mom a couple months ahead of time and planned out two costumes.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Sailor Neptune for a Halloween. My best friend at the time was Sailor Uranus. This was when we only watched dubs and thought they were only cousins. It was pretty basic and last minute. I wish I could find the pictures of it. This was in 1998 or 1999, I think. Late high school for me.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love my Yuki Cross costume. It's not your typical school uniform. There is a lot more detail to it with the gray tape, studs, and rose buttons.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Samus Aran from Metroid. I love the Metroid series and I would love to wear her armor. I don't think I will ever have the skills to make armor for that.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When I was Yuki Cross at BakurestuCon, I came up the stairs and when this girl saw my costume she was so excited that she pretended to faint. She was so excited to see a Vampire Knight costume.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Just walk ons and hall cosplay contests so far for me.

Tell us a little about yourself
I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2005 and work full time now. I think I'm going to go back to grad school in the fall of 2009.
I like the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. I love to cook and watch Food Network. My favorite TV shows are Heroes, Chuck, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, What Not To Wear.
