What got you into cosplay?
I guess I wasn't really aware of it being cosplay at first, it was more like me trying to throw stuff together to try and look like a favorite anime/manga/game character or something I could slightly resemble. I didn't go to my first con (AnimeNEXT) until 2005, but I put together my first decent cosplay for it and I had a blast. Seeing so many wonderful cosplayers really inspires me to want to cosplay more myself.
What was your first costume and why?
I think it was Link from Legend of Zelda. It was really basic... and BAD. @_@ But at the time, the idea of being a character I love was so exciting.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I think as I go, my costumes will definitely improve, and my most recent one is Hikari/Dawn from Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, and I'm really proud of it for the most part. It's mostly accurate, and I made most of it! Yay~
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
A CLAMP character outfit in general... They create some really beautiful extravagant outfits and I would love to be at a level to create one accurately and well... And I need to tone up too. XP
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Anime Boston is the biggest con I've been to so far, and my first full weekend at a con and it was AMAZING. I've never had so much fun at a con, and honestly I admit, I almost cried on the plane home because I knew I was going back to 'reality.' xP So many wonderful experiences, people, and memories--I absolutely cannot wait to go to another convention. ^^
Tell us a little about yourself
I love art, animation, manga, video games, video gaming orchestras, fashion, and more. I'm still an amateur cosplayer, but I am trying to continuously improve myself in all fields and would love to become a great cosplayer one day. Practice practice!
I'm currently attending The University of the Arts majoring in Animation. I would love to be part of the gaming industry (Nintendo love~) or just to somehow make an impact (even if it's a small one) on the world.
