About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
My late wife...She loved a local con and she wanted to do costumes for it...the deal was she would choose for that one and I would for the next one and so on and so forth...it just didn't work out that way.
What was your first costume and why?
Inu Yasha...because my wife had a near adulturus love for the mutt...
What is your favorite costume and why?
currently it's my rebel fleet trooper...because I've always been a StarWars Geek and now I have my costume (and after I loose a few more pounds I'll have a scout trooper to add to that)
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
either a warhammer 40k space marine or a colonial marine from aliens and while I'm at it a cyclone battler
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
at the 2005 AWA...I was Inu Yasha again (wife was diagnosed with cancer, so I would always be Inu Yasha for her) and my wife was a fanfic Kagome...her meds kicked in while we were wandering around and she needed to sit and rest for a little while...we sat on a bench and she just curled in to me like Kagome does in the anime sometimes...next thing I know we have a crowd around us taking all kinds of pictures, they were all very polite and quiet (wife was out cold)...about thirty min later she wakes up and we wander again...later in our room she would complain that nobody wanted to take our pictures while we were on the floor...I smiled and told her about what happend and I got another smile from her (they were a rare thing then)
Do you participate in masquerades?
I'm starting to
What was your best masquerade experience?
Chattacon 33 (2008)...I dressed up as the mutt for the final time...I promised Pam (wife) that I would do it one final time after she passed on and retire the costume and tell everybody why...I was the only contestant to have total silence during my time on stage and to get one of the judges to cry...
