What got you into cosplay?
My sister (AkaneSaotome) started cosplaying first so I thought I'd give it a try. She now helps me with the wigs.
What was your first costume and why?
Kikyo from Inu Yasha....It was an extra costume my sister had with her at Anime Boston 2004. I probably won't wear it again (it wasn't the most flattering outfit)
What is your favorite costume and why?
Genjo Sanzo is my new favorite. I get to carry a gun or a giant paper fan. No smiling required.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'd love to make the bunny outfit Sora wears in Kaleido Star.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Random Hugs from fellow cosplayers!!
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not right now but, maybe in due time. I have to get over my stagefright first. I still have to get used to getting my picture taken.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I fellow con-goer gave me a ribbon that says "Award of Excellence" for my Sanzo. She was a fellow Saiyuki cosplayer. I know it was just a ribbon from iParty but it was a great compliment.
Tell us a little about yourself
Unfortunately I still live at home with my parents but I am looking for a place to call my own. I need the space to put all my stuff.
I have two younger sisters and love my pets. I share the house with 2 cats (Simba and Cooper) and 1 goofy dog (Scruffy) that we adopted a couple years ago.
I've been a vet tech at an emergency/wellness hospital for the past 3 years and have made a lot of friends. Lately my schedule's been a little hectic juggling friends, family, cons, costumes but it's been worth it.
